I’m here with my friend Lester Matthews aka Newnue from YBN Entertainment and we are gonna have a smoke sesh and weed review. Today we are reviewing the top 5 facts of the Cannabis strain known as Platinum Kush.

Fact Number 5: History & Lineage
Platinum Kush is the offspring of OG Kush and also goes by the names Platinum OG Kush and Platinum OG. It’s an Indica dominant strain, the result of crossbreeding between Master Kush and an original Afghani strain. Platinum Kush took first place in the Hydro section of the 1994 High Times Cup.

Fact Number 4: Positive vs Negative Effects
The combination of THC and CBD makes this a good strain for anxiety, depression, and pain but only lasts for a couple of hours. The effects come on quickly after inhaling and is followed by a deep wave of psychological relief that starts in the mind and can end with couchlock.

Medically, this strain is used to treat severe seizures, boost appetite and assist with upset stomachs. Dry mouth and red eyes are the only likely adverse effects.

Fact Number 3: Sativa vs Indica & THC/CBD Levels
Platinum Kush is 90% Indica with a slight influence of Sativa at 10%. THC levels are usually in the 16%-18% range and the CBD is at 1%, which is higher than most strains in America.

Fact Number 2: Appearance, Smell & Taste
Platinum Kush gets its name from it’s high amount of trichomes, which takes on a frosty silvery hue reminiscent of Platinum metal.

When burnt the strain produces a skunky, earthy smell with a smooth and sweet flavor it contains notes of pine, berries and citrus. It’s a nice balance between sweet, earthy, and fruit.
