Epilepsy Awareness Month

November 3rd, 2018

As many of you know, I have epilepsy.  Last month I celebrated being 18 months seizure free! I started having grand mal seizures when I was a teenager. I had several tests, but the doctors could not find out what was causing them. The medical professionals told me I could have multiple seizures every day for the rest of my life or never have another one again and there was no way to tell what my future held. This is one of the reasons I try to live each day to the fullest and not let my condition stop me from doing things I want to do in life.  Knowing that I am one of 65 million people affected... Read More

October 6th, 2018

This week I went on the My 420 Tours Denver cannabis grow and dispensary tour at Euflora.  We arrived at the My 420 Tours offices and signed in for the experience. Guests were invited to try the CBD infused coffee before the tour began. Once we were all accounted for, we got on the tour bus, which was stocked with grinders, papers and everything needed to smoke some herb! The tour guide also made sure everyone knew the waters were complimentary and he encouraged everyone to drink as much as possible because everyone was from lower elevation out of state. It was very interesting to see where everyone... Read More

If you’re thinking about becoming active, there are a few things to consider to avoid injuries. If you’re already living an active lifestyle, you don’t want an injury to slow you down. However, many athletes who participate in activities where the knee is bent repeatedly experience a common injury. July 21st, 2018

One of my jobs in the cannabis industry is a product tester. I recently had the chance to try out some of the Northern Lights flower from Leafs By Snoop, and its potency test came back with 1.2% CBG. I know a lot about the benefits of THC and CBD, but not so much about CBG. This made me do a little research to find out how I could benefit from CBG as an athlete. What I found out was great to know, and I wanted to pass along some bullet points. So, what is CBG, and how can it help you with your fitness goals? CBG stands for cannabigerol and is one of the lesser talked about cannabinoids in the cannabis... Read More

Consuming after exercise is beneficial as well. Cannabis is a powerful anti-inflammatory, which makes it perfect to use for recovery after training or a race. CannaFitness is cannabis and fitness combined. I run with my husband,... Read More

For someone like me who loves massages and cannabis, I jumped on the opportunity to try a cannabis infused massage from Primal Therapeutics while attending the Cannabis Health and Wellness Fair in Denver!
